Myofascial & Movement Strategies for Performance
This immersive 2-day, hands-on course integrates fascia science, therapeutic breathwork, and applied myofascial strategies to help practitioners improve mobility, support pain modulation, and enhance nervous system regulation for performance.
Grounded in a Reset, Reinforce, Reload framework, this course presents myofascial strategies as a Reset tool—a way to reduce movement barriers, open short-term “windows of opportunity,” and prepare the nervous system for effective training. These strategies may be applied using hands-on techniques or self-myofascial tools, depending on professional scope.
Participants will learn how to Reinforce these changes through targeted mobility and stability strategies, and how to Reload the system with progressive overload, strength, and performance-based movement.
Attendees will leave with a full-body, evidence-informed framework that blends myofascial work and movement principles to support resilience, durability, and long-term adaptation across clinical and performance settings.

Course Objectives
- Explain the anatomical and physiological principles of fascia and its relationship to the nervous system, movement efficiency, and performance.
- Identify common myofascial restriction patterns and relevant acupressure points throughout the body.
- Demonstrate scope-appropriate myofascial strategies for the spine, torso, and extremities using hands-on or tool-based approaches.
- Apply acupressure-based strategies to support mobility, pain modulation, and parasympathetic activation.
- Integrate breathwork techniques to enhance tissue adaptability and nervous system regulation during myofascial and movement work.
- Reinforce myofascial reset strategies with region-specific mobility and stability drills.
- Use case-based reasoning to design movement strategies that connect myofascial work to strength and performance outcomes.
- Design and implement a full-body, integrated session that bridges myofascial strategies with progressive overload principles to support resilience, strength, and performance.
Course Outline
Day 1: Upper Body & Foundational Skills (6 Hours)
Welcome & Intro
- Qigong Practice
- Course goals, expectations, safety
Theory Foundations
- Reset → Reinforce → Reload: Manual therapy → Mobility/Movement → Strength
- Fascia science: tissue adaptability, tensegrity, mechanotransduction
- Breathwork & nervous system regulation: autonomic balance, clinical use
- Acupressure principles: key points/meridians for pain & mobility
- Myofascial strategies as Reset: “opening windows of opportunity”
Movement Assessment
- Establish a baseline of mobility, coordination, and control through a movement screen.
- Assessment acts as a compass—guiding where to Reset, how to Reinforce, and when to Reload
Reset Skills: Breathwork, Acupressure & Fascia (Foundational Skills and Upper Body)
- Breath resets: rib cage expansion, diaphragmatic drills
- Acupressure: neck/shoulder release points
- Myofascial mobilizations: cervical, arm, shoulder glides
