WHAT IS CLASSICAL PILATES?

Classical Pilates, also known as Contrology is a complete coordination of mind and body. Pilates is a low impact practice of movement based on repetitive and progressive exercises using your body weight and spring resistance. Classical Pilates takes the mover through a series of exercise that will eventually feel like a flow and create an experience for the client that leaves them feeling invigorated. Your session will always focus on the full body, from the inside out.

Be prepared to coordinate your breathing with your movement, to play with tempo and rhythm, transition fluidly from one exercise to the next, and move your spine in all planes of motion. Through the pilates system, you will deepen your understanding of your body so that you build endurance and strength for your everyday living. Classical Pilates encourages the mover to acquire a strong and healthy body and a more intentional mind.

During your pilates session you can expect to use the Mat, Reformer, Tower, Chair, Spine corrector, Jump board and various Pilates Props.

Pilates is offered at our Pinecrest location at 8185 SW 117th Street, Pinecrest, FL 33156, by appointment only.
