Dr. Any Hughes, DPT, Pelvic Health Specialist — Based in Coral Gables, Dr. Hughes focuses on comprehensive pelvic health care. She designs individualized plans to help pregnant and postpartum women maintain strength, function, and comfort.

Dr. Leilani Padron, DPT, Women’s Health & Performance Specialist — Practicing out of Pinecrest, Dr. Padron brings her background in women’s health and performance training to guide mothers through pregnancy, and back to full strength and activity afterwards.

At Old Bull Athletics, our Pregnancy & Postpartum Strength Training and Pelvic Floor Rehab services are designed to support women through all stages: from pregnancy through to full recovery.

Here’s what you can expect:

Phase Goals Services & Support
During Pregnancy Maintain strength, stability, and function; minimize discomfort; prepare for labor and delivery. • Strength training tailored to each trimester (modifying load, posture, exercises) 

• Mobility, flexibility, and core stability work 

• Pelvic floor assessment and activation, breathing and relaxation techniques 

• Education on posture, body mechanics, safe movement and lifting

Immediately Postpartum (First 6 Weeks+) Promote healing; restore core and pelvic function; reduce pain/swelling; prevent complications. • Gentle reintroduction to movement 

• Pelvic floor rehabilitation (evaluation, internal or external work as needed) 

• Scar mobility (C-section or episiotomy) 

• Pain and healing management 

• Guidance on safe daily activities (lifting, carrying, sleeping)

Later Postpartum / Return to Fitness Regain strength, endurance, function; return to previous fitness levels; prevent injury. • Progressive strength training (lower body, upper body, full body) 

• Core and pelvic floor integration in dynamic movement 

• Functional movement training, including sport or hobby-specific conditioning 

• Ongoing pelvic health monitoring, management of issues like leaking, pain, or prolapse symptoms
